We provide our services to you subject to the following Terms & Conditions, which may be updated occasionally, at our sole discretion, with or without notice to you. The most current version of these Terms will always be on this page of the website and will supersede all previous versions
2. Our Privacy Policy
The privacy of our site visitors and registered members and the security of their personal information is very important to us. We hate spam as much as you do and do not allow third party access to our database, whether they are in Australia or overseas.
We may collect information from you in the course of doing business with you. The information we collect is only that which is necessary for us to conduct business with you and may include your name, email address, phone and address. We may also ask for credit card information when processing payments online.
If you have any questions about our privacy policy, please contact us and we will respond promptly.
2.1 Storage of Collected Information
The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers) on our website, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). When Credit Card details are collected, we simply pass them on in order to be processed as required. We never permanently store complete Credit Card details.
We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it.
2.2 Orders
If you purchase a product or service from us, we may request certain personally identifiable information from you. You may be required to provide contact information (such as name, email, and postal address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date).
We use this information for billing purposes and to fill your orders. If we have trouble processing an order, we will use this information to contact you.
2.3 Security Policy
Hampel Group uses the eWAY Payment Gateway for its online credit card transactions. eWAY processes online credit card transactions for thousands of Australian merchants, providing a safe and secure means of collecting payments via the Internet. All online credit card transactions performed on this site using the eWAY gateway are secured payments.
- Online payments are fully automated with an immediate response.
- Your complete credit card number cannot be viewed by Hampel Group or any outside party.
- All transactions are performed under a minimum of a 128 Bit SSL Certificate.
- All transaction data is encrypted for storage within eWAY’s bank-grade data centre, further protecting your credit card data.
- eWAY is an authorised third party processor for all the major Australian banks.
- eWAY at no time touches your funds; all monies are directly transferred from your credit card to the merchant account held by Hampel Group.
3. Refunds
Hampel Group provides IT consulting services and sells domain name, SSL and website management and hosting services.
All of our services require payment only after an invoice is issued and generally no refunds will be given for payments received unless agreed to by negotiation due to a change in the project terms.
Domain name and SSL certificates are strictly paid in advance (typically for 12 months unless longer registration periods are requested) and no refunds will be given.
For website hosting, payments are typically made monthly or annually in advance – where the annual in advance payment attracts a discount. Any cancellations for monthly hosting will take effect as at the end of the current month – so there will be no refund given. Cancellations for annual payments will be refunded as pro-rata payments for whole months unused (the current month will not be refunded) based on the equivalent monthly payment.
For example, an annual hosting charge of $500 is equivalent to a monthly hosting charge of $50 per month. If the hosting is cancelled half way through the fourth month of hosting (three and a half months currently used), then the cost is calculated as if monthly payments were being made (4 months @ $50 per month = $200), so $300 will be refunded for the cancelled service.
Another example, if annual hosting is cancelled at the end of the 11th month, there will be no refund, since the equivalent monthly hosting is $50 per month * 11 months = $550, which is more than the actual annual payment received.
4. Delivery
Our services typically require an up-front payment to engage us, plus progress payments as negotiated. These will be detailed as part of our quote and payment for the completed stages is due immediately once each milestone is delivered.
Ongoing website or application maintenance services are typically paid for on a retainer basis – with payment in advance for services yet to be delivered (typically a quarterly payment). Time used will be booked against the retainer and any unused hours will be carried forward to the next retainer period.
5. Payment
Payments may be made via direct credit to our bank account or via PayPal or using credit card via our eWay merchant facility. Credit card payments from our invoices are processed through the Saasu website payment system linked to our eWay merchant facility. Saasu is an internationally recognised bookkeeping system provider who we trust to provide secure credit card processing on our behalf. No credit card details are stored by Saasu – they are passed directly on to our merchant system and all money paid is deposited directly to our bank account by our merchant provider.
